About The Cast And Crew

Who are we collectively?

This project is headed by a collective of artists who have worked together in years past, bringing to life some of history’s greatest plays, and innovative, exciting films. Our 2014 adaption of Faust received 6 awards from the North Carolina Theatre Company, including an Excellence in Acting for Logan Frazier’s portrayal of Faust . While the creative heads of this film are concerned with the story and substance of the play, a wide range of talented NC filmmakers will be working on the project to perfect the cinematic aspects of the film. Our Director Chandler Cearley is a student at UNCSA’s film department, and has previously headed multiple successful short films. This movie will be visually cohesive, cinematically exciting, and overall achieve the heightened status of “film,” rather than amateur videography due to the experience of the crew and the quality of the equipment.

Who are we individually?

Chandler Cearley is a film student at UNCSA and a local Raleigh filmmaker. His short films at school have won multiple awards including best cinematography and best directing. The last film he wrote and directed was a project called "King Reginald's Regicide", the first freshman short of it's kind to be developed independently of the university. The 35 person crew was able to shoot the 20 minute film in three days and was helped in various ways by the professors and upperclassmen. It's currently in post-production being edited, colored, and scored. His access to a wide range of fresh talent from the school will allow the most creative people to work on the film with the youthful and trailblazing passion that characterizes upcoming artists. Chandler will be directing the film.

At the age of seventeen, Janelle True has released over twenty original songs in her albums Swept Away and Painted Pianos. Her style alludes to the mellow sound of the singer/songerwriter genre complete with soulful undertones that resemble artists such as Norah Jones, Sara Bareilles, and Ingrid Michaelson. She enjoys writing uplifting music to which all people can relate. However, because her Christian faith is so dear to her heart, many of these themes appear in her music. From light and ethereal in some tracks to deep and soulful in others, Janelle’s voice covers a range of emotions that captivate her audience with their sheer honesty and authenticity. You can purchase Janelle's albums on Amazon, iTunes, and CD Baby. Janelle True will be providing original music for the soundtrack of Faust. Here is a Link to her website.
